Breakfast for dinner

5 and Diner
5220 N 16th St
PhoenixAZ 85016
(602) 264-5220

This was an idea from the boyfriend.
I just got off of work and was hungry,
he knows I LOVE breakfast foods!
So we went to 5 and Diner on 16th St.

It was your typical diner food but
our server, Justin, made the experience great.
He has wicked cool tattoos. A sleeve in
memory of his friend with graffiti and a phoenix.
He was chipper and funny.

I had the eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce was
a bit rich for my taste. The hash browns were perfect thought. My boyfriend had a waffle with pecans.
He is VERY picky about his eggs but they came out to his liking.

If Justin is working, I recommend hitting up some late night eggs, sundaes, or just oldies music!

In the Jungle!

Pita Jungle
1250 E Apache Blvd Ste 113
TempeAZ 85281

This place never gets old, even if you just humus each time you go! Not only is it
a great place to eat...it's vegan/vegetarian friendly. Everyone likes watching out for our
furry/feathered friends. Today, I had Humus with Chicken and Tomato Basil
Soup. The humus comes with pine nuts which is always a tasty addition. The soup
was a bit different from a traditional recipe. It had dried basil which added a more
intense flavor. It was good but not the best. The pita chips that came with it made it great though.
While grubbing, you must drink the iced green tea.

Also, keep an eye out for the artwork hanging on the walls. It changes often and if
something tickles your fancy you can take it home with you.
The staff also is very trendy. They get to wear their own clothes and most look like they
also work for Urban Outfitters.
I always have the same girl and she is wonderful. She has blonde curly hair
and always wears
a cute outfit.

Don't forget to pick up a key lime candies on the way out....or 20 if you want!

First!

So, I started a blog. My friends have blogs about fashion and life. One even has a magazine, so I thought I would add one about what I know best. Food!! I was born and raised in Arizona, have been eating here my whole life. I have seen some greats spots come and go. I am always excited to try something new.

I guess I should start with my current food addiction...

China Chili
302 E Flower St
PhoenixAZ 85012
(602) 266-4463

Asian food is up there on my favorites. I could probably eat it everyday and never get tired of it.
China Chili is a gem in central Phoenix. Tucked away on 3rd st., this place offers some great Asian cuisine. My best friend swears by the Kung Pao Chicken, while I love the Prawns and seasonal veggies.  The service is a bit strange. Anyone that is working comes up to take your order. The manager could take your drink order and then 2 others will complete it. I have never had anything come out wrong though.
Another bonus for this place is the gaggle of gays that hang out there. Each time I have dined in I have seen no less then 2 gay couples enjoying some Sweet and Sour Pork.
